Pat was a partner in the design and prototyping firm of V&E Associates specializing in industrial design and model-making in varied industries such as aerospace, toys and household consumer goods.

In addition to his industrial experience, Pat holds more than 15 patents / applications and has won numerous awards in the fields of art and design including the prestigious American Artist Award for sculpture and the Knickaboker Artists award from the world famous Salmagundi Club as well as the Rotery Club International Award for design.

In 1996 Pat created and co-founded Native Eyewear, a leading brand of Polarized Sport Sunglasses.  As Native's chief designer, he invented and patented many unique technical innovations, helping the brand become an industry leader in high performance Polarized Sunglasses.

His work with polarized lenses first led him to question if this century old technology could not be improved and updated.  In 2005 Pat, together with David Kessler began developing Sol-Grid Technologies.
